Bonus A bonus is an additional payment, usually linked to a defined event or target, on top of regular remuneration.

Contract A contract is an agreement under which a player, club or another party undertakes defined performances and counter-performances. In a player contract, remuneration, duration, duties, rights and termination belong together.

Dispute resolution Dispute resolution covers the agreed or legally available ways to resolve a conflict about a contract, transfer, remuneration or federation decision.

Image rights Image rights describe the authority to use a player’s image or name for defined purposes. A contract should specify the permitted use and the party entitled to use it.

Minors Minors are players who have not yet reached the age of 18. Their contracts and marketing activities require particular attention to representation, consent and protection.

Sponsorship Sponsorship is a contractual link between a financial or other contribution and agreed promotion or support of a player, club or project.

Transfer A transfer is a player’s move from one club to another, including the agreements and registrations required for that move.
